ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT, Nuclear materials under extreme conditions, Symposium K, E-MRS 2019 Fall Meeting, Warsaw, Poland, 16 - 19 September 2019


The Symposium focuses on new results about fabrication and performance of nuclear materials exposed to extreme conditions and radiation. This includes structural and fuel materials and their waste forms. A great emphasis is put on advanced approaches, such as experimental and computational multi-scale plus new fabrication techniques.One of the symposium organizers is Valentin Craciun from the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics (NILPRP).

It also provides the chance to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, practical challenges from nanoenergy to biomedicine. Good control of oxide films thickness, composition and structure offers the possibility to integrate in heterostructures new functionalities. Progress in synthesis, processing and characterization of multifunctional oxide films plays a key role for the development of new devices, from microelectronics to energy and environment applications. The 3rd International Conference on Applied Surface Science will be held at the Pisa Congress Palace, Pisa, Italy from the 17-20 June 2019. The conference will report on and discuss current research on the role and use of surfaces in chemical and physical processes, related to catalysis, electrochemistry, energy, new/functional materials and nanotechnology. Also the various techniques and characterization methods will be discussed.

11th International Conference on Photo-Excited Processes and Applications – ICPEPA 11 will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on September 10-14, 2018.

The conference is the place to share new results and ideas regarding fundamentals of laser-matter interaction, photo-excited processes and application, and increase networking and collaboration opportunities in a relaxing environment. Peer-reviewed papers based on presentation at the conference will be published in a Special Issue of the Applied Surface Science Journal.

International Student Conference on Photonics - ISCP
Our aim is to bring together MSc and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral fellows carrying out research in the field of optics and photonics in Romania and the world, thus providing the environment required for sharing and promoting their scientific results and exchanging ideas whilst facilitating networking with their peers, young and senior scientists. We scheduled student technical talks and poster presentations, lectures of distinguished invited speakers as well as social activities.

The 18th International Balkan Workshop on Applied Physics and Materials Science aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of Applied Physics and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

The workshop continues a tradition started by BPU in 1999, in Tsigov-Chark, Bulgaria, and continued in 2001 in Edirne, Turkey, and 2002 in Targoviste, Romania. Starting with 2003 the workshop has been held annually in Constanta, Romania with one exception, 2012, when Ovidius University of Constanta hosted the 8th General conference of the Balkan Physical Union.
