The invention relates to an aerial robotic system meant to detect combustible gases. According to the invention, the robotic system consists of an aerostat (b) with He, a flying wing (a), some combustible gas sensors (c) and a ground-level control station (d) which enables effective and quick monitoring of combustible gas leak into the atmosphere following domestic and industrial human activities, the aerostat (b) allowing the flying wing (a) to be launched in hardly accessible zones, to be maintained in the start position until its trajectory is decided, to acquire high-altitude video images, which are useful for mission planning, the flying wing (a) transporting the gas sensors (c) over the points of interest in very short time, due to its controllable flying speed, after which it can slow down to a minimal flying speed in order to collect data concerning the state of combustible gases in the zone concerned, the system being able to achieve quick mapping of the points which exhibit combustible gases dispersed in the air, to confine the hazardous zones, thereby permitting secure action of human personnel.
